These wives have been ranked depending on what they offer to your character in terms of gameplay. If you’re looking to choose a wife depending on their appearance, no list can tell you which is best as it’s completely down to your preference.
10. Muiri
This particular Bretonian is an Alchemic apprentice, sporting some facial tattoos and an overall pleasant appearance. As an Alchemist, she’ll run her own Alchemy shop, allowing you to purchase and sell potions and/or ingredients you don’t need. She is only level 6 so if she gets into a fight, she won’t survive and she does die permanently if she goes down. You will have access to a bedroom in the Hag’s Cure upon marrying her.
Where to find her: The Hag’s Cure shop in Markarth
Marriage Requirements: Complete the Mourning Never Comes quest, available after completing one of the first three contracts given after joining the Dark Brotherhood.
9. Ria
Roy c greatest hits rar download. A member of the companions, the newest member and the only Imperial in the ranks. She has no home to call her own, so you won’t inherit anything upon joining her in holy matrimony. Ria is a warrior type follower though, capable of fighting by your side and granting you bonuses if you sleep near her. Problems come in the form of possibly being widowed, as Ria seemingly longs for a glorious death and may seek it out, even if she isn’t following you.
Where to find her: Jorrvaskr in Whiterun.
Marriage Requirements: Complete the Companions questline.
8. Camilla Valerius
My personal bae, Camilla has plenty of men chasing her but if you meet the requirements, you’re the only potential spouse in her eyes. She’s arguably the most beautiful potential wife on this list, something Faendal agrees with as he’ll continue to visit her, even if she gets married to someone else. You will adopt a room in the Riverwood Trader as a nice little bonus for marrying her, you can choose to move in there.
Where to find her: Riverwood Trader shop in…Riverwood
Marriage Requirements: Complete the Golden Claw quest
7. Jenassa
Available as a follower for just 500 gold, Jenassa can hold her own in combat and provide an excellent wife-follower hybrid. Able to be proficient in combat up to level 40, Jenassa is an ideal candidate for those looking for a complete package early on.
Where to find her: The Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun
Marriage Requirements: Hire her at least once
6. Njada Stonearm
Another member of the companions, almost identical to Ria but with a wee bit more talents available to her. As well as effectiveness in combat, Njada shows skill in speech, pickpocketing and sneaking too. She does not own any property you can move into, nor does she open a shop to earn you a bit of gold but she can train you to block better.
Where to find her: Jorrvaskr in Whiterun
Marriage Requirements: Complete the Companions questline
5. Brelyna Maryon
Holding a small room in the College of Winterhold, Brelyna shares her small space with the player upon marrying her. Brelyna can serve as a follower as well as a wife, where she provides powerful offensive spells in combat, granted she doesn’t take many hits to be defeated herself. As she can follow the player up to level 30, she’s another good choice when first starting off.
Where to find her:You can find her in the Hall of Attainment in the College of Winterhold
Marriage Requirements: Complete the Brelyna’s Practice quest
4. Uthgerd the Unbroken
You should seek out Uthgerd as soon as possible, as she’ll wager 100 gold for a brawl. The fight itself is straight-forward and although she seems intimidating, it can be won easily. That’s a free 100 gold, then you’ll have the option to marry her or make her your follower (or both!). In combat, few followers can match her might. Providing high tankiness and damage, she excels when used as a tank for the player to DPS from ranged.
Uthgerd even has her own house, yet again it’s an easy way of getting started in Skyrim.
Where to find her: The Bannered Mare in Whiterun
Marriage Requirements: Take her wager and beat her in a brawl
3. Borgakh the Steel Heart
I know what you’re thinking, Orcs are arguably the least attractive race behind Argonians but hear me out. You get to move into Larak’s Longhouse, a huge Orc structure that serves you well. In the surrounding stronghold, plenty of merchants and skill-relevant resources are available to use. In general, you’d only marry her to take maximum advantage of such facilities.
Borgakh also serves as a formidable follower, wielding powerful weapons and heavy armor.
Where to find her: Mor Khazgur
Marriage Requirements: Take her on as your follower, she’ll mention marriage if you wear the Amulet of Mara
2. Mjoll the Lioness
Mjoll the Lioness can be a follower as well as a wife, showing high degrees of strength in battle with strong combat skills, all the way up to level 40. She is unkillable too.
A huge downside is her inability to shake off Aerin, who will follow her to whatever house you send her too. Well, this is an upside if you like having more people around the place.
Where to find her: The Bee and Barb inn at Riften, or in the surrounding area
Marriage Requirements: Get her to “like” you (agree with her the Thieves Guild are evil), be level 14 or higher and she’ll give you a quest. Complete said quest and she’ll be available for marriage.
1. Aela the Huntress
Not only the best wife, Aela the Huntress is among the best followers in the entirety of Skyrim. Capable of reaching up to level 50, you can obtain Aela as a follower early on in your adventures and she’ll follow you through the rest of them. Producing excessive skills in the likes of one-handed, sneak, light-armor, archery and speech make her a great all-rounder. There’s a reason Aela is the most popular wife among Skyrim players!
Where to find her: Jorrvaskr in Whiterun
Marriage Requirements: Complete the Companions questline

So you’re ready to settle down and get hitched? Of course you want a wife to come home to after a long day of assassinations, dungeon diving and theft.
There are two, very important reasons why having a spouse in Skyrim is a good idea:
- Financially it is rewarding as they will generate 100 gold per day which is an easy way to make money in Skyrim.
- Sleeping in your marital home with your wife gives the Lover’s Comfort bonus which gives an extra 15% boost to learning skills. This bonus stacks on top of the Thief, Mage and Warrior stones making it a great perk of marriage. Click for more information on the Standing Stones in Skyrim.

Who is the Best Wife in Skyrim? Hot Wives Roundup
There really isn’t much different between the wives as the benefits are the same (as above) except perhaps the property they own themselves. Hitman 2 silent assassin cheats ps3. Personally, I find it better to have them move into your own house which can be more convenient. Some of these wives also make the best followers in Skyrim too.

There are 30 potential wives available and we have picked 10 of the best Skyrim Wives. So let’s see who the best and hottest wife in Skyrim is…
Jenassa
Race: Dunmer
Location: The Drunken Huntsman, Whiterun
Wife’s Property: None
Jenassa is a lady for hire (not like that) for 500 gold. She is also a great candidate for marriage and hiring her as a follower is the only requisite for making her your wife.
Jenassa makes a good wife and a good fighter to take with you as she is a good ranger and has a max level of 40. She can be a little sassy and has a general dislike of mines.
Sylgja
Race: Nord
Location: Shor’s Stone
Wife’s Property: Sylgja’s House
If you want the Tomboy worker vibe Sylgja could be the wife for you. Sylgja does a 12 hour shift at Redbelly Mine and can be found wearing miners clothes, boots and a pickaxe.
To win her favour Sylgja will ask you to do a Special Delivery and after that you can pursue her as a wife. As a wife Sylgja is fairly independent and if left she will just carry on with her regular schedule. Can try and take the wife out the mine but can’t take the miner out of the wife!
Orla
Race: Nord
Location: Temple of Dibella, Markarth
Wife’s Property: None
Fancy some of that holy action, then this Priestess of Dibella could be the way to go. Although modest we feel there’s blatantly a hot woman underneath the robes. To marry Orla you have to complete the quest “The Heart of Dibella”.
She’s not a particularly great wife to take with you as she has a max level of 6. She also refuses to move in with you preferring the temple. This means you cannot get the Lover’s Comfort bonus so really she’s a pretty bad wife choice.
Mjoll the Lioness
Race: Nord
Location: Riften
Wife’s Property: Aerin’s House
Mjoll makes a great follower and also a great choice for a wife in Skyrim. Her banded iron armour isn’t the best but she looks fierce and the face paint is cool. To marry Mjoll you’ll need to complete the quest to return her sword Grimsever. Mjoll does make a great follower and wife for her entertaining dialogue.
Lydia
Race: Nord
Location: Dragonsreach / Breezehome, Whiterun
Wife’s Property: None
To be in with a chance to marry Lydia you’ll need to complete the quest “Dragon Rising” and buy the house Breezehome. She will become your housecarl so marrying her feels a bit like mixing business with pleasure. Lydia rocks steal heavy armour and has a max level of 50.
Jordis the Sword-Maiden
Race: Nord
Location: Proudspire Manor, Solitude
Wife’s Property: None
Another housecarl who can be your wife, Jordis has the scandanavian look and is clad in steel armour. To be able to marry Jordin you need to become a Thane of Solitude and purchase the Proudspire Manor (one of the best houses in Skyrim). Jordis, like Lydia, has a max player level of 50 and also makes a good follower.
Muiri
Race: Breton
Location: The Hag’s Cure, Markarth
Wife’s Property: The Hag’s Cure
Muiri was born and raised in Windhelm but was driven out after being framed for a theft. As part of the Dark Brotherhood questline you’ll help Muiri get revenge on the guy who framed her. Muiri has now relocated to Markarth and works in the Apothecary. Muiri is simple yet elegant in her farm clothes but not much use as a follower with her max level of 6.
To marry Muiri you must complete the quest “Mourning Never Comes”, kill Nilsine and become a proprietor of the store to sell Apothecary merchandise.
Camilla Valerius
Race: Imperial
Location: Riverwood Trader, Riverwood
Wife’s Property: Riverwood Trader
If you like some drama, Camilla is involved in a love triangle already so why not jump into the mix. Your competition for her heart are Faendal and Sven. Kill her brother Lucan and she will take over the Riverwood Trader shop in Riverwood.
To marry Camilla Valerius you need to complete “The Golden Claw” quest.
Aela the Huntress
Race: Nord
Location: Jorrvaskr, Whiterun
Wife’s Property: None
Aela the Huntress is easily at the top of the Skyrim wives list. Aela is an elite warrior and part of the Companions. You’ll get to know her quite well during the Companions questline and will need to complete the whole thing if you want Aela to be your wife. She looks cool in her hunter outfit, badass face paint and is hot. She’s also pretty hand with a bow too.
Ysolda
Race: Nord
Location: Open Market, Whiterun
Wife’s Property: Ysolda’s House
These lists are always going to be subjective but Ysolda in our opinion, is the best wife in Skyrim. She’ll make a hot wife and is really sweet too. Ysolda is a modest woman with her own house in Whiterun.
Ysolda is one of the easiest women to marry as all you have to do to win her favour is bring her a mammoth tusk.
